the Rio Cuale just steps from Liz Taylor's former home, Casa Brava a 6 minute walk to the plaza, shopping, galleries, malecon (boardwalk), the market and the town center, and a 20 minute walk to Vallarta's most popular beach, Los Muertos, offering authentic Mexican pueblo living in a bustling fishing village/beach town. Designed and built by the artist, Casa Brava is a new house with all the modern amenities created in traditional Mexican style. Casa Brava 11 is the second floor dwelling with a separate entrance from the first floor apartment, the owner has her studio on the third floor. Each features privacy and security with birds and butterflies and iguanas and the sounds of the river to sooth and refresh the spirit. Ample balconies surround Casa Brava 11 with many plants and views of the river, the town, the mountains and the charming street action.

Vallarta is an art center with many galleries, art walks and studio tours, the owner has her studio on the 3rd floor, open to visitors. There is also an active music scene and the beginnings of a film festival.
Many traditional activities occur ie. dancing in the plaza on Sundays, open air concerts on weekends, traditional Sunday nights strolling and people watching Sunday nights on the Malecon as well as performances by street artists and voladores (flyers) from Vera Cruz.
Short trips to typical villages ie. El tuito, Talpa, 30 minute boat ride to indigenous village of Yelapa. There is a bull ring, there are rodeos, cock fights.
Vallarta is also known for it's varied and classy restaurants.

Miscellaneous Information
Rooms have high ceilings are light and airy with art work on the walls and a library, it is a home which is fully equipped and has many plants and flowers on it's generous balconies. The street is named after the last Aztec king, Cuauhtemoc, and retains it's air of authentic Mexican pueblo in a town bent on progress, and is a quiet street in a rather raucous town.
