Clermont is known as the "Gem of the Hills" by the locals and is the largest city in south Lake County. It is noted for its natural rolling hills, which is unusual for central Florida. It is also known for its many cool clear fresh water chain of 16 lakes, connected by the Palatlakaha River in the Ocklawha Basin of tributaries of the St. Johns River, the only river system in the U.S.A that flows north. The historic downtown district is still much as it was 50 years ago.

Great Villa, definitely had the 'wow' factor on arrival. Very spacious open plan villa more than met the needs of our party of six. Delightful pool much needed at the end of a busy and tiring day at Florida's many parks. Starter pack on arrival was very helpful to get us going with essentials. What a welcome sight Sambu villa was after a long flight across the pond ! The whole family enjoyed their stay, and little touches like the excellent welcome pack made all the difference. Sambu villa made our vacation in Orlando absolutely perfect. This was our first opportunity to rent a vacation home and the owners of Sambu were a dream to work with. Their help and suggestions made our vacation a success. From the welcome food basket, that made our first night so much easier, to the refreshing swimming pool and hot tub on the patio, this home had everything. The free long distance and internet service was a wonderful extra, and the recliner in the living room was a welcome invitation after the long drive. The house is amazing, it has the real wow factor for us. Everything was either exactly as on the website or better. Every detail has been thought through from the welcome pack, through to the DVDs for the kids ..even the weighing scales for the luggage. Everything you could possibly want is there. We could have stayed there for 2 weeks and never left the house. There was loads there for the kids and us between the pool, hot tub, playstation, TV, DVDs, and the games room. We had a fabulous time in this lovely home. Plenty of space, lots of nice extras such as free phone/Internet welcome food basket, a real hot tub that we adored, info about the parks and more. The villa is so neat and clean, and all furnishings are great -- and we are VERY PICKY! I was concerned that the pictures I saw on the Internet would not be as good in real life but they were. The owners are accessible and very easy to deal with. Overall a truly wonderful place to stay. Also, if you go, try the new Italian restaurant right up the road in the little strip mall near Walgreens -- it just opened and has excellent food. There are a bunch of homes in Orange Tree to choose from but you can't go wrong renting this one -- nice quiet location, new house, awesome games room, etc. We plan to stay there again next year.
