There is something for everyone on and around Marco Island Florida whether you are looking for rest and relaxation or something more active. Just a short walk or bike ride away is Tigertail Beach. Swim in the calm waters of the gulf as the pelicans dive for fish, or stroll over to Sand Dollar Island and find a variety of shells and bigger surf for boogie boarding. Dolphins are often seen within yards of the shoreline too. Rentals of cabanas, windsurfers, and small watercraft are available at Tigertail, as well as food, drink and a wonderful play area for children. If you enjoy fishing, be sure to include a charter trip into the gulf, or backwater fishing with the many guides available. Other leisure activites include tennis, sailing, parasailing, and golf. The Everglades National Park is just down the road. There are wildlife centers including the zoo at Naples. Marco Island boasts many restaurants covering cuisines from around the world, as well as a wide range of boutiques and shops.
